Judge Hears Psychologist's Report in Drowning Case | News

A court-appointed psychologist on Tuesday found that a man accused in the drowning death of his 6-month-old son didn't know what he was doing was wrong.
The purpose of Tuesday's hearing was to hear the findings of the court appointed psychologist's report.
Randel Richardson of Eden Prairie is charged with first degree murder. According to a police criminal complaint, Richardson partially filled one side of a laundry tub in his home with cold water, then submerged his six-month-old son Rowan and held him there.
The baby later died at Hennepin County Medical Center.
Richardson is next due in court on March 7, when a judge could set a trial date. The county attorney's office has until Jan. 4 to ask that further examinations be done on Richardson.
